Give Summer Beverages A Twist With Assam Black Tea

Assam Black Tea is a household favourite. Enjoyed by everyone, a good Assam tea is a tea lover’s joy. But come summers, and the heat doesn’t let you enjoy your favourite brew. Fret not, here are some spins on favourite summer beverages with the upgrade of Assam Black Tea.

Stone fruit iced tea

Instead of a hot cup of tea, switch over to a cool cup of ices tea. Easy to make, surprise your guests or enjoy yourself on lazy summer afternoons this seasonal beverage. Stone fruits such peaches, mangoes and plums are in season. Just chop one of each and squeeze some one lime over them. Mix in some chopped ginger and about 4 tablespoons of honey. Brew 4 glasses of water with a tablespoon of whole leaf loose Assam Black Tea. Cool the brew and strain over the fruit mixture. To serve, just ice some tall glasses and pour in the mixture to enjoy.

Lemon Assam Black Tea Sorbet

Come Summers, and the desire to enjoy something cold and refreshing awakens in almost people of all ages. This easy to make sorbet can be made within a couple of hours and requires minimum prep work but has maximum flavour. Boil 500 ml of water with 5 tablespoons of sugar. Brew in 2 tea bags of Assam Black Tea in the mixture. Drop in the peels of 2 lemons. Boil for 10 minutes. Cool the entire mixture and add in the juice of 2 lemons. Sieve the mixture and transfer to a bowl in which you can freeze it. Once frozen solid, break into shards and whizz it up in a grinder. Scoop up and serve immediately with a sprig of mint for garnish.

Black Tea Mint Mojito

Summer soirees or even kitty parties require you to bring in the season’s speciality to show off your hostess skills. Mojitos become the go-to choice for a cocktail or even a mocktail. Jazz up the good old mojito with Assam Black tea. All you have to do is this:

  • Brew 3 glasses of water with 3 bags of Assam Tea. Cool the brew completely. 
  • In a pitcher, muddle a cup of freshly picked mint leaves and 12-15 wedges of lime.
  • Add the cooled tea. Top it up with 6 tablespoons of honey. 
  • Top of the drink with 3 glasses of club soda and ice 
  • Stir it all in and serve in chilled glasses
